Supply
The Organisation of Petroleum-Exporting Countries was formed in September 1960. Its current twelve members are Algeria, Angola, Ecuador, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Venezuela. Angola joined OPEC in January 2007. Ecuador left the cartel in January 1993 and joined in December 2007, Gabon left in January 1995 and Indonesia suspended its membership from January 2009. Production from the Saudi-Kuwaiti Neutral Zone may be reported separately, but in reality is shared 50/50 between them and included in respective OPEC quotas.
